Václav Kopta was born in Prague, where he still lives today. His father is the renowned lyricist Pavel Kopta and his wife is the actress of the Pod Palmovkou Theatre Simona Vrbická, with whom he is raising two daughters. They met at the Prague State Conservatory, where they both studied. In his talk show, Václav Kopta recalls his own adolescence, incidents from the industry and family life with ease and detachment. The humorous narration takes the audience not only to the region of the author's childhood, to Prague's Hanspaulka and Libochovice. Today, one of the busiest actors became famous in the film Snowdrops and Machers. He was a member of the Semafor Theatre for thirty-three years. As a piano player he was a member of several bands (BossaNova, Bluesberry, etc.), today he is a member of Wooden Shoes and his own band Václav Kopta & band. He has written dozens of song lyrics for a number of popular singers, such as Lucie Bílá, Hana Zagorova, Marta Kubišová. He was a musical accompanist on the TV Nova show Mr. GS (2008 ? 2010), and since 2014 he has played one of the main roles in the TV Nova series Ulice. He later left the series. In 2015, he hosted the Czech Television show Zpívá celá rodinina (The Whole Family Sings), and in 2019 he has his own talk show called Koptashow. In 2019 and 2020, he hosted the Czech Lion awards, and in 2020 he also hosted the amateur pastry chef competition show Bake the Whole Country (together with Teresa Bebarova). In 2022, he was the winner of the ninth series of Your Face Has a Famous Voice. Simona Vrbická-Koptová is a popular theatre and television actress, she studied at the State Conservatory in Prague between 1980 and 1986. Since 1986 she has been a permanent member of the ensemble of the Theatre pod Palmovkou. She has appeared in Hamlet, Closely Watched Trains, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and others. In addition to acting in the theatre, she also works in television and often collaborates with radio. She has managed dozens of roles in her career, including poetry, fairy tales and readings for sequels. The whole programme is hosted by writer Marie Formáčková.
