Come and meet an exceptional artist, engraver and medallist who has dedicated his life to perfecting his craft and innovating the art of glass.
Arno Čančík is one of the leading Czech masters of engraved glass. He has devoted himself to his craft since his studies of metal engraving at the state vocational school in Jablonec nad Nisou. Since the 1970s he has specialised in glass cutting and engraving, combining traditional techniques with modern approaches. In his work he likes to experiment and combine glass with wood, precious metals and stones. For many years he was also a member of the prestigious English Glass Engravers Association.
During the evening you can enjoy Mr. Čančík's story about his life journey, the fascinating world of glassmaking and artistic experiments. The meeting will also include a space for your questions and informal discussion.
