Guest: Anna Pokorná, daughter of 1930s hitmaker and court arranger R. A. Dvorský's daughter, Václav Pokorný, takes the audience back to 1933/34, when her father, still a student at the Příbor grammar school, discovered his greatest love in life - jazz. The singer, known to swing fans not only for her former long-lasting work alongside Ondřej Havelka and his Melody Makers, Dája Šimíčková & Shadde Yadda, a swing formation consisting of saxophonist David Fárek, guitarist Jiří Kovář and double bassist Jaroslav Šimíček, will complement the evening with excerpts from his work. The band of top jazz musicians, which has recorded numerous period music for successful TV series and films (První republika, Protektor, Bohéma, etc.), is connected with Anna Pokorná not only by their love of swing music and musical friendship, but above all by the beautiful songs of her father, which are also on the repertoire of her album Potichoučku, of which she was the godmother. Each of the songs has a fascinating story attached to it - from the first foxtrot, through R. A. Dvorský's most popular piece, which Pokorný secretly delivered to him on his bicycle during the Protectorate, or a jazz ballad that is a match for the world's greatest hits, to his most famous foxtrot, which began to be written during night shifts in a pharmacy and was written during pharmacy lectures... Jana Rychterová and Dája Šimíčková
