“The highlight of the concert for me is definitely Mendelssohn's Octet. It is one of the most famous works of chamber music, but it is not performed that often. This is due to both the larger ensemble and the relatively technical difficulty. I myself have already played it four times in my life in different ensembles. I am convinced that the fifth anniversary ensemble will be excellent!” – Tomáš Jamník
Lípa Musica brings the inspiring youthful energy to Waltersdorf, represented by the scholarship holders of the Academy of Chamber Music and the Villa Musica Foundation. The group of talented and already experienced young musicians is artistically led by cellist Tomáš Jamník.
“For this project I chose young, experienced musicians from the Academy of Chamber Music because I often perform with them on stage and it is always a breathtaking experience. Our common motivation is to bring a spark of energy to the stage, which we can ignite into a flame together with the audience.” – Tomáš Jamník
Jamník is an outstanding role model for the young musicians of a classical music interpreter who, however, has not become conservative or self-centered. Instead, he helps others to develop and creates projects and platforms for them – one of them is the Academy of Chamber Music. Interested in how the Academy works and what role Tomáš Jamník plays?
