Czechoslovak pressed glass is famous worldwide. The Museum of Jablonec has prepared an exhibition giving a representative view of Czechoslovak pressed glass, accompanied by a publication, which presents its history and development between 1948 and 1989. The exhibition and publication are entitled "Looking for Balance" (Hledání rovnováhy). The exhibition shows contemporary commercial hits, prototypes and experiments with which the (both well-known and less well-known) designers came up with in their task of creating new models of every-day glassware for homes and restaurants each year.
The exhibition "Looking for Balance -- Czechoslovak Pressed Glass Design 1948-1989" is open to the public from 8 October 2021 - 10 April 2022.
