7th Subscription Concert of the 63rd Chamber Music Season
The Doležal Quartet is a Czech ensemble which is celebrating 50 years since its foundation in 1972. In all generations this quartet has enjoyed success in international competitions such as the Bordeaux String Quartet Competition (1977), the Prague Spring International Music Competition (1975) and the Leoš Janáček International Competition (2010 and 2015). The Doležal Quartet is the only ensemble in the over 120-year history of the Czech Chamber Music Association of the Czech Philharmonic to have won the Association's prize for outstanding performance in chamber music twice (in 1989 and 2015).
