On Saturday, 23 November, a creative workshop will take place in the museum studio with the production of a photo frame with winter motifs. On Sunday (24 November), Daniela Divišová will introduce visitors to the process of glass sandblasting and offer them the opportunity to decorate their purchased (or own brought) glass with selected motifs, of course mainly Christmas ones. "This workshop is extremely popular and we are happy to repeat it. Due to the noise and dustiness of the technology, it will be exceptionally located in the technical area of the museum, you will find it in the lower part of the park under the annex", explained the organizer of the event, Marie Víšková. The festive mood on Sunday at 3 pm will be enhanced by a short performance by the Skřivánek Children's Choir under the direction of choirmaster Věra Pokorná. Permanent exhibitions and current exhibitions dedicated to the Jablonec button and the Kopřiv family's studio glass will also be open. In addition to the museum, it will be possible to visit a number of glass and jewellery shops included in the Liberec Region's Crystal Valley project throughout the weekend. "It is a great promotion of the glass craft, which was successfully inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Heritage List a year ago. It is also a unique opportunity to buy valuable Christmas gifts for your loved ones and to support Czech glassmakers in their difficult efforts to preserve the craft," added Milada Valečková, the museum's director. The full programme of the weekend can be found on the website of the Crystal Valley. Discounted admission to the museum is available on both days, children are admitted free of charge. The museum is exceptionally open from 9 am. Museum partners: Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, Liberec Region, Statutory Town of Jablonec nad Nisou, Preciosa Foundation, Friends of the Museum, Crystal Valley, Czech Radio Liberec, rtm+.
