The musical Dracula was seen at the Palace of Culture (now the Congress Centre) in 1995-1998 by a record 1.2 million spectators, a record for a Czech musical that has never been broken before! It has subsequently been performed in Slovakia, Seoul, South Korea, Poland, Germany, Russia, Belgium and Liechtenstein. Almost immediately it was named the Czech musical of the century.
The musical was based on Stoker's novel Dracula, but it follows it only loosely. The story is set in the 15th century, the 19th century and an indeterminate near future. No more introduction of Dracula is needed. Songs such as "I Know You're With Me", "Unjust God" and "You Are My Master" will be performed in seven arenas across the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Be there too
Performers: Daniel Hůlka Monika Absolonová Richard Genzer Eva Burešová and others...
Culture Under the Stars in collaboration with Broadway Theatre presents the musical Dracula and its 2025 indoor tour. This year is no coincidence as Dracula will celebrate 30 years since its premiere. Times change, but Dracula remains a phenomenon among musicals.
