The Bárka band consists of cellist Pavel Barnáš and harpist Ivana Pokorná. Both musicians have been working for decades in renowned professional orchestras, but they also wished to play pieces of their own choice in a small ensemble, without notes and conductor's baton. Their main focus is on evergreens and movie tunes, which sound very impressive in the unusual combination of their instruments. "The barge offers a voyage across various genres with harp and cello - we sail through stormy and calm waters and enjoy the joy of music," summed up Pavel Barnáš, cellist of the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra and director of the festival Okolo Třebona with a thirty-year tradition. Ivana Pokorná is a member of the National Theatre Orchestra and has always enjoyed working with musicians from other musical genres. In the band Bárka she plays the Celtic harp, which is smaller and lighter than the one she uses in the big orchestra. "In short, we shouldered our instruments and set out in our spare time to explore new waters that would bring us greater freedom and adventure." https://www.barkamusic.cz/
